Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. ABOUT THE JOB
The weekend position works 3-12-hour days, paid for 40, in addition to a 12% shift differential is provided as additional compensation for working during non-standard hours, such as weekends.
$2,000 sign-on bonus
Shift
Training: Tuesday - Friday, 6 AM - 4:30 PM - training is usually 1-2 months based on the individual's background
Regular Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Cirrus Research & Development (R&D) team is tasked with the development of new components and technologies intended for evaluation on next generation aircraft. The primary responsibility of the Research & Development (R&D) Assembly Technician will be to assemble and install parts and systems as well as fabricate components using varied processes and methods. This role requires constant learning of new methods and the application of new industry technologies. The individual must be self-motivated, have a high degree of integrity, strong verbal skills, and be comfortable working with a highly diverse cross functional team.
Essential Duties:
Education and/or Experience
3-5 years of combined schooling and industry experience. Aerospace, manufacturing, industrial or Machine Technology degrees preferred.
Certificates or Licensures:
No licenses are required for this position. Other industry certificates considered a plus including Airframe & Powerplant certificate or ASE Automotive
Computer Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must. Knowledge of CAD software (PTC Creo) is preferred.
