The Job You Will Perform:
- Serves as Lead Human Resources member of the mill and is an integral part of the Mill's Lead Team and the containerboard Business Human Resource Team.
- Provides functional coordination and direction of all human resources initiatives in the mill.
- Supports approximately 350 employees in a unionized facility.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement and measurement of the effectiveness of the mill human resources organization.
- Creates staffing, selection, training and development plans to build teams that fully contribute to achieving business goals.
- Fosters environment focused on alignment, engagement, and execution to accomplish key business objectives.
- Educates and coaches management and others on company policies and work rules.
- Champions leadership and people development processes.
- Develops and ensures the implementation of an employee/labor relations strategy that incorporates best practices and creates change.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- 5-7 years Human Resources and/or related business experience, including labor relations knowledge/experience.
- Experience leading contract negotiations, grievance administration, and arbitrations is preferred.
