Intranet Applications Specialist - Web develops, implements, and maintains web-based application systems for an organization. Troubleshoots issues with existing or developed systems, and works with the appropriate resources to resolve them. Being an Intranet Applications Specialist - Web may require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in a related field (i.e., HTML, Java, etc.). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Intranet Applications Specialist - Web relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. High school degree/GED.
2 years of work related experience in web-design, particularly in support of marketing and communications initiatives. Experience in visual design, with a strong understanding of user-interface (UI) design. Familiarity with web analytics. Strong understanding of markup languages such as HTML, PHP, and CSS. Post-secondary education may be substituted for years of experience.
Proficient in oral and written communication. Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision, and work in a team setting. Strong analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Excellent interpersonal skills. Customer service skills. Highly organized, willing to help others set and maintain schedules. Project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications, or related field with emphasis in computer science or MIS.
3 years experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal and OmniUpdate, Responsive Design, knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, project management, graphic design, etc. Experience with graphic design software.
