Jig and Fixture Builder assembles a variety of standard and non-standard major jigs, fixtures and related tooling. Ensures jigs function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Being a Jig and Fixture Builder is responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. Designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Additionally, Jig and Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Jig and Fixture Builder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team. As a Builder, this is a hands-on role that requires expertise in multiple areas.
Duties:
- Plan and build jobs to ensure customers' total satisfaction throughout the process.
-Collaborate with other builders and sales staff on best practices of products and continuous training with new team members as needed (all training will be provided)
- Maintain company vehicle and tools
- As the face of the company - develop and maintain a positive supportive attitude towards customers at all times
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Interaction with the sales team and or project manager to discuss the build and go over all related information/pictures etc.
- Inventory management. Ensure all materials and custom items are in the warehouse ready for the job and returned to the warehouse if unused
- Loading vehicle with all material needed for each build project
- Set up job site in a safe and efficient manner
- Layout/plan the enclosure build
- Cut, assemble and install all components of the job
- Connect louvers / retractables to designated power
- Ensuring the job site is clean at all times
- Computer literacy needed as you will be updating status of project and ordering inventory at times
- Work closely with warehouse manager to stay organized and efficient
- Payment collection as needed
- As needed: Set up and take down trade shows or displays
REPORTS TO: Project Manager and General Manager
