Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Document Control Administration
  • Acts as the primary contact managing document filing and retention for GFU.
  • Supports multiple internal GFU departments.
  • Works with GFU department Leads to organize and maintain key working documents on a common server file system available to multiple GFU personnel.
  • Archives critical business documents on an archival drive with read-only access for all employees except for Document Control Administrator and GFU senior management.
  • Prepares and assembles periodic or specialized documents and reports that support Board of Trustees (BOT) meetings, and specialized presentations to BOT, the City of Grey Forest or GFU management.

• Community Liaison
  • Represent GFU at various community events in the greater San Antonio area.
  • Serve as an ambassador for GFU in the communities which GFU serves. 
  • Develop relationships with key civic and community leaders.
  • Bring opportunities for community involvement to the attention of GFU management.
  • Attend and report on city council meetings for multiple cities in the GFU service area.

• Other Duties: 
• Supports GFU management on special administrative projects such as preparation of annual reports, planning and coordination of company events, 

Travel / Working Hours: General office working hours are Monday-Friday 8AM – 5PM at the GFU office in Helotes. However, limited local travel in the San Antonio metro area and some evening / weekend hours are required to support community liaison responsibilities. GFU management will collaborate with employee regarding flex time to compensate for after-hours work.

Physical Requirements : Combination of sitting and/or standing in an office environment for long periods of time. During offsite community relation functions, there will also be a combination of sitting and/or standing for long periods of time.
