Laboratory Coordinator
Summary :
The MSAT downstream purification group is responsible for providing support to the upstream team, as well as purification / optimization activities and support to routine manufacturing operations.
As a laboratory coordinator, the ideal candidate would be familiar with general laboratory practice and safety. Primary responsibilities involve general upkeep of a diverse and active laboratory.
The role requires a solid level of communication as the individual must maintain timely communication with a variety of internal / external parties.
The ability to organize and enable efficient utilization of the laboratory for a rapidly moving team is the goal of this role.
Responsibilities :
Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and consumables.
Optimize laboratory organization through 5S methodology.
Ensure facilities and equipment are in optimal and proper working condition.
Coordinates preventative maintenance and equipment repairs as needed.
Order supplies / equipment as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately.
Interacts with shipping to receives orders, confirm receipt, unpacking, etc.
Streamlines waste disposal and recycling processes within the laboratory.
Qualifications :
Minimum Associates and / or bachelor's degree with 0 - 3 years' laboratory experience.
