Laboratory Courier jobs in Iowa
Laboratory Courier picks up and delivers medical specimens and packages for a laboratory. Ensures timely, safe, and accurate delivery. Being a Laboratory Courier is responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Laboratory Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Position:
This is a 1099 contractor position requiring that you use your own vehicle. All gas and maintenance of the vehicle used is the responsibility of the owner.
The courier will be transporting medical specimens and supplies to and from medical facilities in and around various parts of Iowa. The position is routed on demand work where the driver may be required to drive up to 300 miles per day. Routes will run between 10:00am-5:30pm. The candidate would work Saturday and Sunday with potential to cover the route during the week. The route will pay .75 cents per mile.
