Laboratory Courier picks up and delivers medical specimens and packages for a laboratory. Ensures timely, safe, and accurate delivery. Being a Laboratory Courier is responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Laboratory Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
Must use Personal car
willing to drive up to 150 miles at time, but mostly local deliveries.
-Transport goods and materials from one location to another
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient delivery
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery details
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Experience:
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating different locations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
