Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator coordinates, develops, and maintains the scope and performance of laboratory information systems projects. Maintains project documentation by formulating and implementing policies and procedures. Being a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator maintains and updates the system. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Job DescriptionThe Information System Coordinator will assist in the installation and maintenance of new information systems. Perform data entry as required. Create and maintain user documentation and procedure manuals. Perform training and education for affected staff.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma; bachelor’s degree or technical certification preferred
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience administrating networks, servers and client personal computers; experience with database programming, and office suite software; prior healthcare MIS environment preferred
Knowledge: Computer hardware and software skills. LAN/WAN knowledge. Knowledge of camera and DVR systems preferred. Ability to use personal computers, printers, PBX, facsimile machines and photocopy machine.
