Land Surveyors Manager jobs in West Virginia
Land Surveyors Manager manages and coordinates surveys and investigations of land surfaces. Ensures compliance to all applicable regulations and requirements including boundary calculations and legal issues. Being a Land Surveyors Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to land surveying team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Land Surveyors Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Land Surveyors Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Here's what we are looking for:

- Tenacious, outgoing, and extroverted individuals, sales experience a plus
- Good communication and listening skills as well as patience
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Knowledge in all aspects of right of way including acquisition, title, permitting, due diligence, public and community outreach
- Two years of Right of Way Agent experience
- Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Here are some of the things you'll be doing:
- Working under tight deadlines with analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Identifying property ownership and determining property valuations.
- Obtaining permission from property owners for various types of surveys.
- Preparing documents necessary for acquisition of property rights.
- Negotiating acquisition of property rights.
- Settling damage claims.
- Acquiring the necessary licensing and permits.
- Reviewing progress of projects.
- Construction support liaison responsibilities.
