    Position Summary
    :
    The VP – Corporate Lending Officer is responsible for corporate and commercial banking relationships for the organization. Actively calls on and develops a focused portfolio of the Banks highest net worth corporate clients.

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Actively calls on potential corporate banking customers within the Capital Region and surrounding areas in order to develop new business and increase or retain existing business in an effort to attain annual goals.
    • Utilizes Pioneer’s Sales Enablement program to provide cross sell opportunities for other business services including Cash Management, Deposit, Loan, Investment, and Insurance products.
    • Recommends pricing of loans and deposits that are in line with Pioneer strategies.
    • Works with dedicated Portfolio Manager to proactively maintain successful corporate banking relationships, and to identify weakness in performance and take appropriate action to mitigate potential risks.
    • Works with Credit Analysts to analyze financial statements and prepare credit requests.
    • Works with Special Assets team on managing at-risk loans through the workout process to satisfactory results.
    • Helps develop team members and others in Pioneer, when requested, for the purpose of succession planning.

    E
    ducation & Experience:
    • Minimum of five to seven years’ commercial lending experience.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of commercial lending with proven results in a similar position.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field also preferred.
    • Highly developed analytical ability and ability to demonstrate successful sales skills.
    • Ability to maintain flexible work schedule including some evenings and Saturdays.
    • Must have own transportation, or access to reliable transportation on short notice.
    • Valid driver's license plus ability to maintain this throughout employment.
