Job Summary:

I am seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Baking Assistant to join my team at Unicorn Bites, a vegan cookie brand. As an Assistant, you will work closely with me to bake and package inventory and (potentially) work additional hours at the Montclair Farmers Market by making sales at our table. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about baking and/or startup food brands and wants to gain hands-on experience with a flexible schedule.

Duties:

- Assist with food preparation, including baking, decorating and packaging

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

- Assist in sales events (e.g. Farmers Market)

Experience:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred

- 1-2 years baking experience

- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and regulations

- Holds ServSafe/equivalent Food Handler Certificate

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
