OFFICE AIDE-RECEPTIONIST

A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Adult Ed for an Office Aide - Receptionist.

This position is for 5.75 hours per day, 9 months per year. Applicants may apply on wsd.tedk12.com/hire.  Files will be reviewed before interviews are scheduled.

THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS

Purpose Statement
The job of Office Aide-Receptionist assists the secretary in maintaining appropriate office activities and create an effective environment in order that students may learn effectively. 

Desirable:

1. Previous experience in a public school setting.
2. Ability to operate office machines, perform routine record keeping functions, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, teachers, students, and the public.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:

1. Ability to work independently at routine tasks.
2. Ability to learn special needs of particular individuals.
3. Ability to communicate.
4. Ability to meet and interact with teachers, parents, and students with tact, courtesy, and discretion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

1. Answering Phones (SPANISH SPEAKING DESIRED)
2. Working with students, classes, teachers, data entry  Operate various types of office equipment such as, copy machines, personal computers, etc. STRONG COMPUTER AND PHONE SKILLS
3. Conform to District policy regarding attendance and absences.
4. Employee attendance must be adequate to perform the above listed essential job functions.
5. Computer skills, such as, Google, Google Sheets and Excel are desired. 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Other duties as assigned.
