Position: Library Page – Children’s Department Department: Boyden Library

Supervisor: Senior Youth Services Librarian Salary: $15.50/hr.

Position Description: The Boyden Library is seeking an applicant for the position of Library Page in the Children’s Dept.

Library pages perform the following duties:

• Shelve books and other materials
• Keep shelves in order
• Perform other related duties as required
• Must be able to lift, carry, and place objects up to 25 lbs. in weight
• Must be able to stand and walk for lengthy periods of time
• Must be able to follow directions

This part-time position is nineteen and a half (19.5) hours per week. No benefits are included. The work week includes afternoon and evening hours.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least fourteen (14) years of age
• Ability to communicate effectively with library staff and patrons
