This role will greet & assist students and employees while performing daily tasks in the library. Responsibility of the successful completion of a variety of assigned tasks and projects supporting the Access, Collection Management, Information & Instruction and Special Services departments.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college/university personnel as necessary.

Responsible for the supervision of work study students as assigned.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist patrons in identifying or locating materials; referring patrons to either information sources or Library faculty in an efficient, helpful, and courteous manner; review material and information requests for errors and difficulties according to approved Library standards

Monitor monetary transactions by maintaining fines and fees collection, recording and balancing cash drawers, and prepare deposits.

Order materials, verify invoices and materials received; maintain and prepare complete and accurate statistical reports as assigned; perform materials accessioning, processing and repairs.

Verify donation lists and materials received; maintain and prepare complete and accurate statistical reports as assigned

Perform data entry through additions, deletions, and modifications to various library databases, records and accounts, both computerized and manual; verify accuracy and completeness of data.

Perform clerical duties on a variety of office equipment including computer workstations, printers, photocopiers, fax machines; maintain familiarity with campus software, library utilities software, and technological advances that increase the efficiency of operations; troubleshoot library equipment and refer unresolved problems to appropriate individual.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school degree or equivalent plus two years additional schooling; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated customer service skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Performs sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature controlled office setting.

Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 25 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
