The South Western School District is currently seeking qualified candidates for a library aide at our Middle School. This is a part time, support staff position, approximately 30 hours per week. Minimum qualifications include: An associates degree or higher or a minimum of 48 completed credit hours of postsecondary education; Clean Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 Background Checks/Clearances; Experience working with students in an academic or non-academic setting and knowledge of effective behavior management and conflict resolution techniques; Strong interpersonal, human relations, organizational, and communication skills; Ability to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum and see with acquity of at least 20 feet normal depth perception, field of vision and accommodation; Ability to reach above and below the waist; walk and use fingers to pick, feel, and grasp items; Use of both hands for repetitive motion and bending and tisting of the body; Ability to lift/carry supplies and objects weighing no more than 40 lbs; and Ability to sit pr stand eighty percent (80%) of workday.
