Library Services Coordinator oversees library service offerings designed to meet the needs of a specific user population. Ensures resource availability and implements new programs to meet service gaps. Being a Library Services Coordinator assists groups and individuals in locating, delivery, and obtaining materials. Establish and maintains cooperative agreements between the college and area libraries. Additionally, Library Services Coordinator graduates from an ALA-accredited school. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Library Services Coordinator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Duties include the ability to provide individualized and/or group services in developing transition plans to include career development, employment preparation, self-determination development, vocational assessment, accessing statewide resources, and integration in the workplace community to students Pre-K to 12 with visual impairments and multiple disabilities. Master’s degree in related areas such as special education teaching, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, etc. Training or experience in special education, with school to work initiatives and/or with the blind and visually impaired student population, is preferred. NM Public Education Department licensure required. Will be required to become Braille proficient, visual impairment coursework may be required. Full‑time contract for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an in person position for the Alamogordo campus. Applications accepted until filled.
