Ensures resource availability and implements new programs to meet service gaps. Being a Library Services Coordinator assists groups and individuals in locating, delivery, and obtaining materials. Establish and maintains cooperative agreements between the college and area libraries. Additionally, Library Services Coordinator graduates from an ALA-accredited school. Requires a master's degree. General Statement of Duties:
The Coordinator of Library Services: Coordinator of LaChance Library Operations is an integral part of the LaChance Library staff (4 staff members plus the Assistant Dean) and the Collaborative Learning Commons (CLC). The CLC is comprised of LaChance Library, the Learning Success Center, and Testing Services; they share a common strategic plan and physical space. The successful candidate will see to successful daily operations of LaChance Library through collaboration with LaChance Library staff and other CLC departments. The candidate will engage stakeholders (especially students and faculty) to advance information literacy through both traditional and innovative means. The candidate serves as point on digital systems and social media, including their operation and maintenance as well as integration into policy and practice across library services. A strong understanding and interest in varied academic library functions is essential to this position. Empathetic listening, critical and creative thinking, and strong collaboration and communication skills are highly valued.
