A Northern California Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to run their busy Emergency Department and join their award-winning organization.
The 200 plus bed non-profit medical center has one of the busiest emergency departments in the area. The ED Manager will be responsible for the 24-hour supervision of a Department, which sees 35,000 patients annually.
The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will oversee a 30-bed unit, and will report directly to the Director of Director of Emergency Services and will be supported by nurse supervisors, charge nurses and an Emergency Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Emergency Nurse Manager will collaborate with the Infection control committee as well as the Quality Coordinator to ensure best practices and patient satisfaction. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will be responsible supervision of the department, treating any immediate medical or surgical emergencies and for providing other chronic medical problems, minor injuries or illness.
The Emergency Manager will work closely with staff to coordinate and oversee continuing education and in-service trainings and will review policies and procedures to ensure best practices in patient safety and performance improvement.
