Preferably a high school graduate or equivalent.
2. Minimum of three (3) years experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry

6. Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment. On call a s necessary.
Hires and trains housekeeping, janitors, and laundry personnel. Maintains department schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
Responsible for yearly written evaluations of all department employees. Documents disciplinary actions and terminates department personnel according to facility policy as necessary.
Performs periodic inspections of the building and grounds to ensure proper repair, cleanliness, and laundry service quality. Coordinates with the Engineering Department.
Places orders for necessary supplies in accordance with departmental budget. Processes incoming merchandise, prepares invoices and submits for approval and payment.
Performs other duties and attends meetings at the direction of the Administrator.
Ensures that housekeepers dust halls, offices, resident rooms, recreation rooms, lounges, etc. according to assigned unit.
Ensures that housekeepers wash walls, windows, window frames, tiles, door frames, and other high areas.
Ensures that toilet supply containers, soap and paper towel dispensers are filled.
Ensures that bowls, sinks, walls, exposed pipes, etc. are cleaned.
Ensures that housekeeping storage closets are in good order and locked at all times.
Performs other duties as needed to ensure that a clean environment is maintained.
Moves furniture, equipment, housekeeping supplies, etc. as needed.
Keeps all materials in properly marked containers.
Ensures that proper laundry procedures are performed and that an adequate supply of clean linen is on hand at all times.
