Library Services Director jobs in Cheyenne, WY
Library Services Director supervises, maintains, and enhances policies and procedures for a library. Oversees professional and support staff involved in cataloging, indexing, issuing books/materials, and keeping records of items on loan. Being a Library Services Director selects books and publications for purchase and subscribes to pertinent periodicals as allowed for by the given budget. Requires master's of library and information science from an ALA-accredited school. Additionally, Library Services Director typically reports to top management. The Library Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Library Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. As an RWHS Director of Perioperative Services, you will:
- Use critical thinking in the application of knowledge and clinical skills to facilitate staff development to achieve appropriate patient outcomes.
- Utilize unit-staffing model as a guideline and adjusts staffing levels based on acuity, census and staff experience. Responsible for final approval of all employee schedules.
- Assists with personnel management including hiring decisions, employee coaching, and corrective actions.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master’s Degree preferred
- Compact or State of Nebraska Registered Nurse License; must have NE license within 90 days of hire.
