Library Services Manager manages the daily planning, staff, and operations for the acquisition, classification, maintenance, licensing, and distribution of print and digital materials to meet the information needs of library users. Coordinates process to research, review, identify and procure new materials to develop the library's collection. Being a Library Services Manager performs cataloging and creates bibliographies and metadata to classify the library's collection of books, serial publications, documents, audiovisual, and other materials. Develops and oversees support, service, and technology resources to ensure that groups and individuals can access requested materials. Additionally, Library Services Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Library Services Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Library Services Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • JOB PURPOSE: The Support Services Manager oversees the support services departments at the Recovery Center, including: Food Services, Housekeeping and Supply. He/she provides leadership and coaching to employees within these departments. The Manager oversees coordinating and supervising kitchen staff according to food safety standards ensuring food production complies with standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standardsThese duties include hiring, training, scheduling, and performing quality control on food and the kitchen. Also, responsibility with menu development, managing patient’s dietary restrictions as well as cooking and serving as needed.  This manager is also responsible for supply ordering for the kitchen and the entire facility, ensuring demand is met and cost-effective processes are utilized.  Additionally, this manager has responsibility for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department to a high standard of cleanliness, observing all guidelines regarding infection control and local standards while assuring the highest degree of quality patient and visitor care is always maintained. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training, and developing all staff.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided
    • Develops and maintains department policies.
    • Implementing and maintaining quality, cost control, and safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations, and accreditation standards
    • Overseeing maintenance of facilities and equipment in collaboration with the Maintenance team, including ordering needed supplies
    • Responsible for recruiting, on boarding and PEP process with employees
    • Developing and implementing employee training programs to ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about their jobs
    • Implements process for workflows and accountability to staff performance
    • Reviewing and approving invoices from vendors before payments are made
    • Evaluating employee performance, providing feedback, and offering training opportunities to help employees improve their skills
    • Managing the day-to-day operations of their departments in accordance with its mission, goals, policies, and procedures
    • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively
    • Managing office operations such as scheduling, staffing, payroll, purchasing of supplies, and procurement of equipment
    • Developing budgets and managing expenses to ensure profitability of the organization
    • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility, including infection prevention alignment
    • Responsible for food safety and appropriate storage in compliance with health and safety regulations as well as quality control of food delivered
    • May assist with coverage gaps in staffing as needed
    • Maintains professional competencies and skills as required for position, professional practice, and credentialing.
    • Other duties may be assigned.



    QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nutrition, foodservice systems management, business management or related area, granted by an accredited college or university preferred
    • Accredited food safety certification exam, such as ServSafe Food Manager within 90 days of hire
    • CPR/BLS required.
    • Proven work experience as a manager and cook preferred
    • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.).
    • Knowledge in food storage and safety.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment
    • In-depth knowledge of healthcare health and safety regulations.
    • Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
    • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.


    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

    This is a full-time position. Typically, M-F but may require some weekends for special events.  Work hours will be

    flexible to accommodate a 24/7 inpatient facility.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    This job operates in an inpatient residential treatment center environment.  This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment and various kitchen utensils and equipment.


    COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY:

    • All employees and providers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Those who are unvaccinated must receive their first dose of a multi-dose COVID-19 vaccine series (Pfizer or Moderna vaccines) or single-dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson vaccine) by January 27, 2022, and must be fully vaccinated by February 28, 2022. Those who receive their final vaccine dose but are not yet 14-days post-vaccination by February 28, 2022, will be considered compliant. However, if you are working in a hospital location that has set earlier deadlines for mandatory vaccination, you are required to comply with those deadlines. 
    • This requirement applies to all current and new staff regardless of clinical responsibility or patient contact, including facility employees; licensed practitioners; administrative, corporate, and billing personnel; students; trainees; volunteers; board members; and others providing services for the facility or its patients under contract or other arrangement (such as housekeeping and laboratory services).
    • Although FDA approved and CDC recommended, an additional (third) or “booster dose” of the COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required in order for staff to be considered “fully vaccinated.”
      • The CDC has emphasized that masks should still be worn in all healthcare settings. Staff, patients, residents, and visitors should continue to wear masks in all healthcare facilities, regardless of vaccination status.  The only exception is if the employee is in an office, alone, or actively eating or drinking. Employees should not congregate in break rooms and should practice social distancing when possible.
      • Fully vaccinated corporate office staff do not have to wear a mask. Unvaccinated corporate office staff must wear a mask at all times, even at cubicles, except when in an enclosed office, alone, or actively eating or drinking. Corporate employees should not congregate in break rooms and should practice social distancing when possible.
      • COVID screenings (with temperature check) remain MANDATORY for all corporate office staff and to enter any outpatient facility and the Recovery Center. The Recovery Center should screen patients over the phone before picking up for transportation to the Center, and should conduct a temperature check of the patient in-person.
      • Employees experiencing symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, should notify their supervisor when symptoms first start and get tested. Employees who fail to communicate a positive COVID-19 test will be subject to disciplinary action, including, up to, immediate termination.
