POSITION SUMMARY:
The Behavioral Health Manager of Therapeutic Services assists the Administrator of Behavioral Health in the oversight and management of the Units and works closely with the Behavioral Health Leadership team to ensure that the therapists on staff are well-trained and competent to perform their duties according to the highest standards of quality. The Manager provides group therapy as well as individual and family therapies for their personal caseload. The Manager participates in observing, reporting, and recording of patient behaviors and reports to the Administrator. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including assessment, psycho-diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, family and group therapies and discharge planning. Responsibilities also include helping to provide a safe and secure unit environment for all patients and staff in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care. Must be able to read, write and comprehend medical terminology. Must exhibit a professional appearance. Must be at least 21 years of age, dependable and emotionally stable. Responsible for maintaining personal and professional growth and development.
SERVICE EXCELLENCE:
Participates in the Hospital’s Service Excellence Program designed to improve patient care, employee and physician satisfaction. Participation includes knowledge of HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Systems and Providers, which measures patient’s perceptions of care received, and Core Measure Set, which measures performance of patients’, care based on medical research.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Previous Inpatient Behavioral Health experience
· Previous supervisory experience preferred
EDUCATION:
· Post-graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field; Fully licensed in respective field.
