Library Services Manager manages the daily planning, staff, and operations for the acquisition, classification, maintenance, licensing, and distribution of print and digital materials to meet the information needs of library users. Coordinates process to research, review, identify and procure new materials to develop the library's collection. Being a Library Services Manager performs cataloging and creates bibliographies and metadata to classify the library's collection of books, serial publications, documents, audiovisual, and other materials. Develops and oversees support, service, and technology resources to ensure that groups and individuals can access requested materials. Job Title: Library Services Cataloger Intern
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Pay Group: Hourly
Primary Purpose: Assist the Library Services Administrator in cataloging books for the campus libraries.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
High school diploma from an accredited high school or hold GED.
Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university or completed degree program within the last year.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Skill to operate computer equipment, including wordprocessing software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to organize, maintain, and conduct inventory of library materials.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Research Library of Congress and other sources for information to classify and catalog books into the permanent library system database.
2. Resolve cataloging maintenance and collection organization problems.
3. Develop and update records in the master inventory database.
4. Travel as required to provide assistance to campus libraries or to attend required meetings concerning library programs.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

6. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
7. Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at locations of work assignment.
8. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
9. Execute duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
