Job Description
DPS Electronics is on the lookout for a dedicated Embedded Linux Technician for our YAC (Yard Air Controller) Department. The ideal candidate will excel in both in-house technical roles and customer-facing positions. Familiarity with basic networking concepts, Debian and Raspbian (Linux) command-line operations, and the ability to read and understand Python are a must. Advanced skills in networking, especially regarding VPNs, routing, and modem setups, are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Understand the hardware-software interactions of YAC systems.
- Setup devices via SSH sessions with Linux CLI and scripts.
- Manage image flashing, creation.
- Perform networking tasks, including VPN management, routing, and modem configurations.
- Handle user management, log reviews, and perform swift responses to issue reports.
- Track tickets for critical YAC errors and known YAC issue troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- Linux CLI experience.
- Experience with Python (2.7 and/or 3.x) or other interpreted languages (e.g. Java, JS, Perl, etc.)
- Experience with networking setups (VPNs, routing).
- Customer service experience in a technical role with extensive technical troubleshooting ability.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 DOE
