We are in search of an experienced Lobbyist to advocate for our innovative County Marriage Licensing Software with local and state government officials. Your primary task would be to convince stakeholders of the software's effectiveness and efficiency to gain their support and encourage wide adoption.
Responsibilities:
Advocacy and Influencing
- Actively engage with and lobby local and state government officials to support our software's legislative interests.
- Develop and execute strategic lobbying campaigns, providing compelling reasons for the adoption of our software.
Relationship Management
- Build, nurture, and maintain strategic relationships with politicians, officials, and other stakeholders in the marriage licensing process.
- Attend and represent our organization at relevant functions, meetings, and industry events.
Requirements:
Technical Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of proven lobbying experience, preferably related to software or technological products.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of legislative processes.
- Familiarity with the county marriage licensing and related laws would be an asset.
Soft Skills
- Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills to influence decision-makers.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
- Superior communication skills, both written and spoken.
Mentality
- High level of integrity and understanding of ethical lobbying practices.
- Self-driven, proactive, and goal-oriented.
- Open to extensive traveling and engaging with various stakeholders.
