Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Logistics Account Manager / Freight Broker to join our team and contribute to our cotinnued success. As a Trucking Freight Broker, you will play a pivotal role in our operations by connecting shippers with qualified carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the timely and secure delivery of goods. This position requires a motivated and experienced professional who can leverage their industry knowledge and network to match shipments with carriers effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Client Acquistion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and establishing relationships with potential clients.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and carriers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Carrier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, leveraging your network and industry knowledge to secure capacity for our clients.
- Freight Matching: Efficiently match available shipments with suitable carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for both pares.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the transportation process, such as delays or disruptions.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are accurately completed, and that all shipments comply with industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the trucking and transportation industry, with a proven track record of success as a freight broker.
- Book of Business: Candidates MUST have their own book of business and established relationships in the industry.
- Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and clients to secure favorable rates and terms.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and compliance procedures.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in industry-specific software and Microsoft Office Suite.
