Loss Control Manager manages and develops loss control programs and administers risk management programs related to operating risk, insurance, and any class of financial risk. Researches and reports on cost effective plans to minimize loss. Being a Loss Control Manager contributes to business plans and objectives. Ensures compliance with all regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which pertain to loss control. Additionally, Loss Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Loss Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Loss Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What does an Insurance Loss Control Inspector do? 
    Our inspectors meet with the policyholder to photograph and evaluate the overall condition of the insured’s operations, buildings, and/or premises, and provide specific information to the insurance companies underwriters.
    • Scheduling appointments with property owners
    • Photograph and evaluate the overall condition of a building
    • Effectively communicating via phone, email, and face to face discussions
    • Observe commercial and residential properties for potential areas of risk
    • Complete a brief report of your observations and upload photos to the field service platform 
    • Follow carrier instructions and maintain quality standards
    • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
    • Local travel to perform field inspections
    Qualifications for the ideal Independent Contractor:
    • Car, Microsoft computer, smartphone, and reliable home internet
    • Observant and curious
    • Skills in time management and verbal/ written communications
    • Basic computer skills, typing, uploading, and downloading documents, email, Microsoft Outlook and Word, as well as using the internet.
    • Background in construction, fire & safety, hospitality, real estate or previous military service is beneficial, but not required.
    • Successful candidate must live in the geographic area advertised!!
