Wyoming County is currently looking to hire a Secretary to the County Administrator. The work involves responsibility for performing confidential, complex administrative functions for the County Administrator on a daily basis. The incumbent performs a variety of tasks in support of the County Administrator’s executive function including preparing of materials for legislative and management matters. The work is carried out in accordance with procedures set forth by the County and as directed by the County Administrator. Responsibilities involve acting as a liaison between the County Administrator, the Board of Supervisors, Department Heads and the general public. Incumbent works closely with appropriate staff to coordinate the necessary reports requested of and needed by the County Administrator.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) Possession of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, progressively responsible clerical experience; OR
(B) Possession of an Associate’s degree and five (5) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, progressively responsible clerical experience; OR
(C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and seven (7) years of full-time paid experience, or its part-time equivalent, progressively responsible clerical experience.
