JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Mammography Technologist candidates will have the following job responsibilities:

• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
• Complies with FDA and MQSA regulatory requirements.
• Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
• Assessesthe patient's physical condition and age specific needs.
• Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient's clinical history, and assures that the information is accurately documented.
• Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors, to achieve desired high-quality images for interpretation.
• Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, patient identification, and ensures that all breast anatomy is demonstrated according to MQSA/ACR guidelines.
• Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Requires utilization of Radiology Information System to accurately show arrival and completion of exams, correct coding of procedures done, and retrieval of reports.
• Utilizes sterile technique for sterile procedures in accordance with OH policy and training. Administers medical aid as required for any emergency.
• Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.
• Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Ensures safety of all customers.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines and education requirements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Mammography Technologist candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Produces mammograms and assists in Mammographic procedures
• Demonstrates acceptable proficiency in performing routine diagnostic radiography as defined by department standards as referenced in the department procedure manual and Merrill's Technical Reference Book
• Must complete all mammography patient history forms clearly and concisely
• Ability to keep patient, family members, and other visitors informed of patient's progress/delays as they occur
• At least one year of experience
• Active registry license in the state of Nevada: ARRT, RT (R) (M) certification
• American Heart Association BLS/ CPR certified (within 60days)
• Working knowledge of the English language (reading, writing, speaking)
• Possess computer skills to complete online learning requirements (within 90days)

$36.12-50.56/hour
