    JOB DESCRIPTION:



    JOB SUMMARY: Assists director and manager with all aspects of marketing. Prepares and maintains accurate departmental purchasing files. Performs word processing, data entry and typing and filing as required. Operates modern office equipment, including but not limited to personal computer, photocopier, facsimile and binding machines.

    • Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for scheduling of off-site shuttle drivers.
    • Prepares and maintains accurate departmental purchasing files.
    • Communicates with vendors.
    • Track all departmental expenses.
    • Maintains reservations logs for external casino promotional activities (i.e. room of golf packages).
    • Assists in the coordination of special events and promotions.
    • Participate at events, parties, and promotions as directed by the Marketing Director or Manager.
    • Work both on and off site events as needed.
    • Maintains effective communication to all Marketing Divisions (i.e. Players Club, Shuttle Drivers, etc.)
    • Maintains supplies for the Marketing Department.
    • Has friendly, attentive, interaction with customer and co-workers and is courteous and professional at all times.
    • Performs clerical functions, type’s letters and memos.
    • Resolves any customer complaints or concerns, or directs them to the proper supervisor.
    • Performs specialized and technical clerical work with speed and accuracy.
    • Maintains an efficient filing system as required.
    • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
    • Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
    • Moves the situation quickly toward resolution by efficiently managing and controlling the circumstances.
    • Explains the “why” behind the resolution or action for the guest.
    • Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos’ Purpose, Values and objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
    • Proactively shares guest feedback with executive management and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement.
    • Seeks to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.
    • Finds ways to make good use of their strengths and talents.
    • Knows and follows all Marketing Internal Controls and policies and procedures.
    • Consistently provides exceptional customer service and represents Legends Casino in professional manner at all off-site events.
    • Proactively helps guests to resolve concerns; particularly when the guest has not been satisfied and strives for a win-win resolution
    • Arrives to work on time as scheduled, prepared to work, and reports in appropriately.
    • Follows team member handbook in regards to professionalism and appearance.
    • Takes responsibility for their performance, knows how they are performing and constantly strives to improve.
    • Demonstrates enthusiasm, courtesy, responsiveness and professionalism in our daily work.
    • Maintains control of their own emotions and remains professional at all times.
    • Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree preferred or two years of related experience and/or training; or casino related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. Ability to sit or stand for extended length of time.


    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION: Good customer relations skills a must. One year prior marketing experience preferred; casino experience helpful. Excellent written or oral communication skills required. Computer skills using word processing (Microsoft Word preferred), desktop publishing and other marketing related computer programs. Must be able to type efficiently and accurately. Must know correct business English, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, and have basic arithmetic skills. Knowledge of modern office equipment and practices required. Letter and report writing abilities preferred.
