In keeping with the Marian Regional Medical Center philosophy, the MATERIALS SUPERVISOR supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care by the day to day management of supply procurement for Surgical/Cath Lab/IR Services at MRMC and applicable entities. The MATERIALS SUPERVISOR serves as a liaison person between department directors, surgeons, anesthesiologists, coordinating implementation of new supplies and instruments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Twelve (12) months of related experience desired.
• High School Diploma required
• Supervises supply room employees in the proper receiving storing handling and issuing sterile and non-sterile medical equipment and supplies per organizational standards.
• Monitors medical equipment/supplies inventory and utilization levels and orders as needed to ensure adequate availability of patient care and treatment materials.
• Supervises staff conformance with policies and procedures related to the handling sterilization cleaning maintenance storage and assembly of patient care supplies equipment and instruments.
• Assists in management of supply room staff to include performance management continual improvement training and education and communication of updates to policies and procedures.

Preferred:

• Supervisory experience in related field preferred.
• Business degree preferred
