Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Position Summary:
The buyer role requires a basic understanding of DFAR requirements and QMS policies for managing the organization’s supply chain to support all aspects of development, production, and test activities in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. The buyer must be able to communicate with both distributors and component manufacturers to quote, negotiate, place, and monitor orders supporting the organization’s production schedule, as well as indirect purchases supporting operations and maintenance. Identify alternate sources of supply when schedules are impacted by material lead-time constraints. Support supplier qualification activities as needed. Support bid and proposal efforts with quotations and cost and lead-time estimates. Utilize experience and knowledge to continually drive procurement activity towards the lowest total experience cost. This position is full-time on-site.
