Mood Media is looking for an SVP of Finance who has a proven professional track record. This senior level position will be the hands-on leader for the global FP&A function which requires significant experience in a complex financial environment. This role will own a mix of recurring and non-recurring deliverables that are critical to the company’s success. Specifically, the person will provide reliable financial reporting and analysis for Mood Media consolidated budgets, forecasts and long-range plans. This role will also act as a resource for special projects to help drive key business decisions and narratives.

The candidate will direct the day-to-day financial management of the Company as well as financial operational activities, and importantly will act as a strategic partner with the CFO and leadership to appropriately scale the business for growth.  This position requires a hard-working, hands on individual who can work well in a team environment.

The SVP of Finance will report directly to the CFO in the oversight of the global FP&A team. The position offers a high level of visibility with senior and executive management team members and will have a significant level of interaction across all business functions. This position will have an existing staff of professionals reporting to him/her with the expectation of hiring/training/managing the team as the Company continues to operate through its strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Build financial plans and forecasts, including annual budgets and long-range plans
• Act as a business partner to key function leaders such as head of Operations, Sales, Product, Legal, HR, CFO and CIO
• Lead departmental trend and variance reporting for the consolidated business
• Consolidate forecasts and plans, including bi-monthly forecast flash
• Provide strategic insight and analytical support to help guide business decisions; identify key risks and opportunities
• Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and projects such as quarterly earnings preparation, board slides, KPI reporting, LTV to CAC, PLP, etc.
• Reporting to lenders supporting all covenant compliance requirements per the credit agreement and serve as point of contact to the lender group
• Support the Board in all financial reporting requests
• Flash and periodic business reporting including variance analysis
• Assist in an efficient and timely monthly and quarterly close process including: preparation and review of quarterly documentation 
• Fully engage with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development and reporting
• Participate in and support M&A activity related to the due diligence requirements and then lead the finance team in the integration activities after any M&A activity.
• Work with the CFO on special projects requiring detailed activity analysis.
• Responsible for mentoring and coaching all direct and indirect reports.
• Other ad hoc projects as requested.

Key Experience and Skills will include:

• The ideal candidate may possess the following additional skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics or Math
• MBA preferred, CFA, CPA or other professional qualification is a plus.
• 12 years’ experience in Finance roles, with increasing responsibility and business interaction
• Strong core FP&A skills, including business case modeling
• Deep understanding and caring about the drivers / levers of business and how that translates to financial success
• Demonstrated ability to accurately model the financial aspects and outcomes of business issues using spreadsheets and/or other applicable tools
• Experience in a franchised business is a plus, background in M&A and integration is also preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating and interacting with remote teams at all levels to gather information
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Superior EXCEL skills required
• Familiarity with an Oracle database and Sequel reporting a plus.
• Comfortable in identifying accounting issues and taking the initiative to research them.
• Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Experience in the media industry and IFRS is a plus
• Ability to pivot among priorities quickly and deliver short term analytics and long-term projects
