Job Summary: The Registered (RMA) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) will perform administrative and clinical duties. Administrative duties may consist of updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, answering the telephones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments. Clinical duties may consist of taking medical histories, recording vital signs, assisting physicians during examinations, removing sutures and changing dressings as well as collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Two (2) years experience in the medical field. Physician office experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Must maintain current BLS certification. Certified (CMA, CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Certification. Must obtain medical assistant certification within 90 days of employment.
