Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Minimum Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

1 Organize and prioritize materials, appointments, and responsibilities.
2 Maintains information, reference materials, and appropriate policies and procedures issued by
Central Montana Medical Center.
3 Greet patient and obtain patient’s information for patient charts.
4 Take patient to room & obtain current reason for visit. Height, weight, blood pressure, etc.
5 Check medications & allergies
6 Inventory soft good, splints & supplies.
7 Assist with casting, suture & staple removal and changing dressings.
8 Complete performance check off list.
9 Completes other duties as assigned.
