While working closely with department representatives, the Medical Librarian Intern participates in a structured learning experience. Through the library you will provide information in support of patient care, research, and education. The ideal caregiver is someone who: • Is a graduate student who is currently enrolled in an ALA accredited Library Science graduate degree program • Has an interested in learning about becoming a health sciences librarian. • Can make definitive choices, expresses opinions on issues and can explain logical path decisions. The intern will have to opportunity to rotate to different librarians to learn about their positions in the library and may be supervised by that librarian during that rotation. You will primarily be based at our Main Campus library. You will get the chance to rotate to a library at Fairview, South Pointe, or Hillcrest to gain experience of what it is like to be a solo medical librarian at a community hospital.
