Medical Librarian (MLS) provides guidance and assistance to users researching medical information using database searches, inter-library loans, and other resources. Ensures the cataloging and circulation of materials are performed efficiently and correctly according to policies and standards. Being a Medical Librarian (MLS) creates training materials and delivers library instruction and education programs for physicians and other staff. Leads or contributes ideas for library strategic planning, quality initiatives, and the development of digital media and educational resources. Additionally, Medical Librarian (MLS) maintains current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature. Requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Librarian (MLS) occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician (MLT/MLS/CLS)

  • Gundersen Health System - St. Elizabeth's is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Wabasha, MN laboratory team. ASCP certification is not required!

    What You'll Do:

    You will perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens and demonstrate competency within the full scope of laboratory procedures, chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine. You will analyze information, monitor quality performance, and take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of laboratory procedures, as well as the maintenance of quality control in the laboratory understanding the requirements and standards of regulating agencies to ensure compliance within the laboratory.

    What's Available:

    • Part-time - 64 hours biweekly (0.8 FTE); will orientate fulltime
    • 8hr variable days with evening/night & weekend on-call rotation shifts
    • On-call is approximately one call shift per week and every 6th weekend and holiday
    • Based in Wabasha, MN supporting St. Elizabeth's hospital, clinic, and nursing home
    • Starting pay of $26.87 and up (based on experience)
    • Applicable on-call and shift differentials

    What You'll Need:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field
    • ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required
    • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen collection, processing, and analysis
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
