Medical Librarian (MLS) provides guidance and assistance to users researching medical information using database searches, inter-library loans, and other resources. Ensures the cataloging and circulation of materials are performed efficiently and correctly according to policies and standards. Being a Medical Librarian (MLS) creates training materials and delivers library instruction and education programs for physicians and other staff. Leads or contributes ideas for library strategic planning, quality initiatives, and the development of digital media and educational resources. Additionally, Medical Librarian (MLS) maintains current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature. Requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Librarian (MLS) occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     This Medical Assistant, Full Time position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties.

    The Medical Assistant ensures proper functioning of this position by:
    • Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
    • Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.
    • Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline.
    • Assist with daily admiistrative duties, including covering the front desk, answering multi-phone lines and making copies of documents as necessary.
    • Accurately files patient charts; including scanning documents into files as necessary.
    • Schedules patient appointments as necessary, return visits and Specialists.

    Qualifications:
    Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Medical Assistant certificate requireD
    • Current BLS/CPR certification required
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
    • Fluent with medical terminology required
