Seneca House is a skilled nursing facility located in Seneca Mo. We are looking to hire a Medical Records Clerk to join our family orientated team.

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as in accordance with our reestablished policies and procedures, to assure that a complete medical records program is maintained.

As Medical Records Clerk, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountable necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

• Maintain Resident Rights
• HIPPA compliance
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility, to assure that medical records can be properly maintained.
• Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts and personnel records as required.
• Assist in developing procedures to ensure records are properly completed, coded, signed, indexed, etc. before filing.
• Follow established policies and procedure for the medical records section.
• Maintain all records, policies and procedures.
• Answer telephone, help with inquire process, and admission process.
• File active and inactive records.
• Upload documents into PCC systems.
• Assist with manager on duty and dining room duty.
• Assist with orientation process.
• Attend and participate in in-services, education classes and on the job training programs.
• Must maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident and staff information.
