Medical Records Transcriptionist jobs in Hammond, IN

The NeuroClinic P.C. is an outpatient neurology practice that has served Northwest Indiana for over 12 years. We are looking for a highly-motivated person to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Quickly and accurately record patient histories, treatment plans, medical test results and more in a concise manner
• Sending medication prescriptions and refills, diagnostic test orders,
• Answering phone calls from various parties including patients, family members, caregivers, medical facility staff, insurance representatives, etc.
• Work with fellow staff to ensure clinic is running efficiently and all tasks are being completed

Qualifications:

• Able to type 60 WPM
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure as well as medical jargon and abbreviations for accuracy
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced work environment and thrive in high-pressure situations
• Superb listening and time management skills
• Previous scribing experience or experience working in a clinical setting (highly preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
