Medical Records Transcriptionist jobs in Illinois

A leading Vein practice in Chicago is seeking a qualified Medical Transcriptionist. Ideal candidate will have experience in the medical field, knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. New grads in the healthcare field are highly welcome! The individual will interpret and transcribe dictation as well as written notes from physicians and other healthcare providers to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services while maintaining the rules of confidentiality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transcribes medical reports from physicians and other healthcare providers including but not limited to patient assessments, therapeutic procedures, visit notes, treatment/care plans, and/or diagnostic reports from written notes in accordance with established priorities and format.
• Utilizes reference materials appropriately and efficiently to facilitate the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of reports.
• Prints and proofs dictated documents; delivers to physician/healthcare providers for signature/review, as needed.
• Protects and maintains confidentiality of medical reports/information.
• Assists physicians and other healthcare providers locate reports, as needed.
• Assists with data entry, as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Degree;
• At least one year of related experience;
• Knowledge of medical terminology;
• Knowledge of transcription guidelines and practices;

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow;

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.42 - $24.59 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
