Medical Technologist (ASCP) jobs in Alabama
Medical Technologist (ASCP) performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Being a Medical Technologist (ASCP) analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Requires a bachelor's degree and must be a certified medical technologist. Additionally, Medical Technologist (ASCP) typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Our Medical Laboratory Scientists / Medical Technologists examine and analyze body fluids, tissues and cells; and identify potentially harmful microorganisms. They perform quality checks on various instruments following establish procedures. A bachelor’s degree in CLIA approved sciences from an accredited institution and national certification are required. The position is responsible to the Clinical Laboratory Manager.
