Member Certification Manager manages the certification and credentialing programs of a professional or membership organization. Oversees the development of standards and testing materials. Being a Member Certification Manager develops testing schedules and resource requirements to deliver testing. Collaborates with curriculum designers and instructors to ensure materials present certification requirements accurately and are validated in the certification processes. Additionally, Member Certification Manager develops quality processes to ensure the testing and validation processes accurately measure certification requirements. Optimizes the certification process to ensure members are satisfied and resolves any problems related to the process. May evaluate, select, and monitor outside testing providers to ensure testing quality. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Member Certification Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Member Certification Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Tusk’s co-founders Ben and Adam have deep industry experience, with long recent tenures at eCommerce shipping/logistics leaders like Shippo, ShipBob, and Google Shopping. Tusk has raised a pre-seed funding round in 2022 and is currently a team of four, based in Chicago. We are remote-friendly and spend at least two days a week working in-person as a team.
THE ROLE
As an Ops Associate - Account Manager at Tusk, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing customer strategy and problem solving for our shippers. This includes onboarding new Shipping customers, managing our portfolio of live Shippers, and iterating, improving, and documenting the processes along the way. You’ll build strong relationships with each Shipper and understand their unique needs better than anyone else. With your technical aptitude, you’ll navigate various tools and softwares to not only solve problems for Shippers, but also to gain valuable insights that improve Tusk’s features, market position and revenue.
You can expect to:
- Work in close collaboration with Director of Operations, Annie
- Effectively onboard new customers while actively improving the playbook
- Own a portion of our current portfolio of live Shippers
- Maintain regular check-in calls to gather feedback and tackle problems with each Shipper
- Identify opportunities for expansion of Tusk’s services for our current shippers, increasing account value
- Troubleshoot client issues by coordinating with internal and external teams as necessary
