Member Certification Specialist coordinates the certification and credentialing programs of a professional or membership organization. Participates in the development of standards and the creation of testing materials. Being a Member Certification Specialist maintains and monitors a test scheduling system or database. Organizes resources to implement testing schedules and sessions, including locations, testers, technology, and materials. Additionally, Member Certification Specialist assists members with information about programs and resolves any issues with the process. Interfaces with and monitors outside testing providers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Member Certification Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Program Specialist within the Certification & Monitoring Unit is responsible for conducting certification surveys, program monitoring, and providing technical assistance for substance use disorder and mental health treatment programs within the State of Missouri. This is an opportunity to assist in improving program operations, client satisfaction, and positive outcomes with provider organizations.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of state/federal regulations, evidence-based practices, standards of accrediting bodies and contractual agreements that govern behavioral health organizations certified by the Department of Mental Health. Sound judgement and strong independent decision-making skills are needed to be successful in this role.
Eligibility:
A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and three years of professional experience.
OR;
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical area, with experience in the treatment of individuals with substance use disorders and/or mental illness is preferred.
This position may require travel. Remote work is available up to four days/week after successful completion of training period.
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
