Participates in the development of standards and the creation of testing materials. Being a Member Certification Specialist maintains and monitors a test scheduling system or database. Organizes resources to implement testing schedules and sessions, including locations, testers, technology, and materials. Additionally, Member Certification Specialist assists members with information about programs and resolves any issues with the process. Interfaces with and monitors outside testing providers. As the Emissions Certification and Compliance Specialist, you will support obtaining/assuring official vehicle type approval or certification in time for planned market launch. You plan, support, and perform emissions compliance testing at U.S. agencies or emission labs to compile and analyze test results.
You will develop and maintain a working knowledge of US regulations in the specific scope of work (e.g. standards and specifications related to certification, fuel economy (calculation), emissions and compliance of light duty vehicles (passenger cars and light duty trucks) and motorcycles). You will compile sales information and test data, support with specific data to calculate fuel economy label value, Gas Guzzler Tax, GHG and smog index values. You will support with specific certification activities, prepare certification and documentation to various state agencies prepare all documentation. You will create emissions warranty information reports and submit to applicable agencies. You respond to inquiries related to specific emissions certification data and deadlines.
