Summary/Objective
The Director of Member Services is responsible for overseeing activities supporting Member Coops with their agronomy product needs. Works closely with Coop managers to ensure success of their members and GreenPoint Ag. Provides members of the company’s management team with expertise and input to support business development, commercialization, and technical support, with particular focus on GreenPoint Ag’s cooperative members.
Essential Functions
- Plans, directs, and executes Member Services initiatives that align customer service, product management, and Member Coop success
- Performs market analysis through regular communication with vendors and industry peers to stay in tune with changing markets and supply
- Fosters continuous communication within the team to provide support and direction
- Fosters collaboration with corporate leadership and counterpart company divisions, product partners, and manufacturers to optimize program offerings and project alignment
- Provides structure, leadership, mentorship, project management, and team-building for staff; provides leadership, management, and direction to Member Services Managers and their teams
- Directs and prioritizes safety initiatives to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Networks with industry peers and professionals to build relationships and create synergistic collaborative opportunities
- Stays abreast of industry trends and requirements and identify new research opportunities
- Facilitates agronomy product movement to Coop members
- Provides regular and well-organized reports to corporate board of directors and executive team
- Fosters communications between Member Coops and GreenPoint Ag
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or other related field OR a minimum 10 years of experience in an agronomy-related field
- 10 years of experience in agronomic and/or Cooperative management
- Extensive knowledge of Cooperative operations and agronomic operations
- Experience with GreenPoint Ag agronomy product lines, vendors, and manufacturers is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent working knowledge of GreenPoint Ag products; knowledgeable of grower production practices and ag technology systems
- Overall understanding of business operations, strategic planning, business development, and technology licensing
- Strong networking skills with ability to maintain professional relationships with counterparts and industry experts and in the disciplines relevant to the company’s customers
- Track record of success in corporate-level leadership; experience and success in managing interdisciplinary teams and providing mentorship as well as a positive and respectful work environment
- Understanding of, and ability to conduct, financial analysis of return on investment from innovation expenditures (both financial and time resources)
- A wide degree of flexibility, interpersonal skills, and creativity is required
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lead a team of customer-centered managers in supporting Cooperative member organizations
- Ability to resolve complex customer issues
- Well-developed project management skills, with ability to work on multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work in both an office and Member Coop setting.

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to fingers is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
