Member Services Director directs and coordinates all aspects of the health maintenance organization (HMO) member services department. Plans and directs policies and objectives for addressing member inquiries. Being a Member Services Director establishes service quality goals for the department and implements strategies to meet these goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Member Services Director typically reports to top management. The Member Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Member Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in an educational field
    • Master’s Degree, Ed; S;, or equivalent in School Administration
    • 5 years educational experience or related field

    • Must comply with the safety guidelines of the Rio Rancho Public School District; 

     

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    The following tasks are primary responsibilities of the position; 

    • Coordinates S.A.F.E. Program (includes consistent site visits);
    • Hire, train and supervise staff for S.A.F.E. and EMDC (daycare); 
    • Oversight, support, and management of staff, payroll for staff, and financial management; 
    • Work with staff to identify, implement, and monitor programs for students and families for appropriate school age programming during non-school hours;
    • Develops and manages budgets for all program activities;
    • Develop programming options and coordinate with appropriate community agencies and district staff for execution of proposed activities; Continue to develop a positive district-wide model and coordinate all activities through each school’s coordinator;
    • Develop a comprehensive list of program options for recipients; Work collaboratively with outside agencies to develop Community Volunteer Initiatives;  Maintain community partnerships by meetings with Boys/Girls Club, the City, the County, etc;
    • Provide recommendations to coordinators for program changes, innovation, and develop alternative funding sources; 
    • Resource development/fundraising;     
    • Maintain records of activities and program participation, and perform clerical duties as necessary; This will include an annual report with surveys to parents, staff, and students; 
    • Develop appropriate policies for the operation of the after-school program in addition to      other identified programs within the district; 
    • Work with all members of the school community to make quality instruction a prime focus; 
    • Communicates with all school and community stakeholders concerning current school issues and student achievement;
    • Identifies and assesses student and staff performance to inform professional development needs; 
    • Support counseling PBIS, and other district programs within the Student Services Department;
    • Parent/Guardian support services;
    • Discipline and legal support services;
    • Oversee Health and Wellness Policy and issues concerning the policy;
    • Responsible for Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC);
    • Coordinate and facilitate the district School Health Advisory Council (SHAC);
    • Report yearly to the Board the recommendations of the SHAC;
    • Manage and administer the district grant initiatives;
    • Supervision and oversight of Enchanted Mesa Day Care;
    • Oversee School Health Advisory Council;
    • Complies with state-approved New Mexico Administrative Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession and the RRPS Employee Standards of Conduct and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations;
    • Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. 

     

    Work Hours

    Normally eight hours per day; additional time as may be required.
