    Job Description

    This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Membership Director will provide senior level leadership and direction for the development and execution of comprehensive membership development, marketing, communications, and public relations strategies for the Family Branch. The Membership Director will develop and implement the membership growth, retention and marketing plans for the Pawtucket Family Branch ensuring consistency and integrity of the Y Brand in all communications.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.
    • Previous supervisory experience in customer service preferred.
    • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
    • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments
      of the community.
    Essential Functions
    • Responsibility for membership revenues, creating and targeting marketing strategies and measuring membership satisfaction.
    • Implements member quality standards and satisfaction survey action planning.
    • Maintains membership outcome measurements.
    • Identifies and resolves problem areas to ensure member satisfaction.
    • Develops operating goals and objectives, monitors the achievement of the plan and takes appropriate action to ensure goals and objectives are met.
    • Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members. Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and online registration.
    • Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollments; and provides ongoing support to Program Directors on related issues.
    • Serves on the Membership Quality team.
    • Participates in the planning of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
    • Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA.
    • Supervises full time and part time membership and KidZone staff including hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling.
    • Maintain an efficient, organized, and systematic Welcome Center and KidZone program.
    • Oversees the audit of program entries into Daxko ensuring accurate and consistent registration entries.
    • Produces monthly membership report by the 5th of each month.
    • Plans and implements monthly membership and KidZone staff meetings.
    • Oversees all Welcome Center operations and covers Welcome Center shifts as needed.
    • Oversees KidZone operations and covers KidsZone shifts as needed.
    • Actively participates and supports the Annual Campaign.
    • Researches, recommends, and implements marketing strategies that result in increased membership recruitment and retention.
    • Serves as Director on Duty as scheduled and oversees the completion of the weekly schedule.
    • Responsible for ensuring membership registrations, holds, and terminations are processed correctly and efficiently.
    • Responsible for weekly deposits and cash flow oversight.
    • Maintains current CPR, First Aid, AED and Emergency Oxygen Administration certifications.
    • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
