City Cast, the fast-growing 13-city network of daily local podcasts and newsletters, is hiring a Membership Manager to run day-to-day operations of our new membership program. Our ideal candidate is passionate about building community, is an effective relationship manager, and is a resourceful problem-solver excited by the prospect of working at a startup. They are also an excellent project manager who is at once creative and attentive to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary membership liaison with key stakeholders across the company and external collaborators
• Disseminate best practices around membership campaigns and member communications across the network
• Serve as project manager for membership campaigns and launches, communicating deadlines and priorities to relevant stakeholders
• Maintain clear documentation so key stakeholders can collaborate on membership efforts
• Oversee execution of member benefits that may include exclusive content, events, and other perks to engage and retain members
• Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to execute targeted campaigns that effectively promote our membership offerings
• Collaborate with the leadership team to generate smart, creative, effective tactics for enticing readers and listeners to join the membership program
• Pay attention to innovative ideas and trends in media membership and share and apply them.
• Create and maintain membership data dashboard that helps us understand our goals and how we're performing against them
• Regularly analyze membership data and feedback to gain insights about member behavior, preferences, and satisfaction levels
• Analyze feedback to identify opportunities for new membership benefits, exclusive content, or experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing membership or subscription at a media company
• Strong experience and aptitude for juggling multiple complex projects and stakeholders
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing and interpreting data
• Passion for podcasting and local media
• Experience working in the media industry is a plus!

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of project management experience

This position is full-time and remote, with excellent benefits. The Membership Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work collaboratively with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Creative Officer. The salary range is $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience.
